The Call to Action to implement Child Labour Free Zones (CLFZs) in Pathfinder Countries to Eliminate Child Labour was endorsed by CSOs, teachers unions, academia, media and employers organisations from Uganda, Malawi, Ethiopia and DRC during the Africa Regional Symposium for World Day Against Child Labour, held on the 13th of June 2023 in Kampala, Uganda. WNCB partners participated as well.
This symposium has catalysed timely momentum for Pathfinder governments and stakeholders to collaborate in implementing ABA interventions, amplifying actions to eliminate child labour and honour their commitment. The symposium released this collective call-to-action document urging members of Alliance 8.7 and Pathfinder Country governments in Africa to prioritize ABA in planning, policies, and action to eradicate child labour.
