According to most recent estimates 152 million children are victims of child labour, with almost half of them, 73 million, working in hazardous child labour. Although child labour has declined over the past 15 years, progress has dwindled during the last 4 years. Significant efforts will need to be made in order to reach the SDG Goal of eradication all forms of child labour by 2025. Stepping up international cooperation andpartnerships are crucial to ensure progress on this ambitious goal (ILO 2017)
