Gender power analysis
In 2022, the WNCB programme conducted a gender power analysis in all six countries. The aim of this analysis was to identify key gender equality gaps related to child labour, and to provide strategies and policy recommendations to address the identified barriers to children’s well-being.
We used the results of the analysis to inform decision-making at the WNCB programme level on relevant country interventions. We also used them to influence some of the systemic changes related to gender and child labour policies and practices.
Integrating a gender perspective across the WNCB’s programme work
We ensured that all programme activities had a gender lens to ensure gender sensitivity throughout our work. Programme activities took into account the different needs of women, men, girls, boys and the most vulnerable in all programme activities to raise awareness and strengthen gender equality on the ground.
Capacity building workshops
Based on the findings of our gender analysis, we have held capacity building workshops in different countries to support country staff in adapting the findings and recommendations to their area-specific context, and to help them integrate the recommendations into their work.
