160 million children worldwide are still working. Most of these children work at home, in agriculture or do other forms of informal work. They are often invisible. While they have rights and should be in school instead. All children should be included in efforts to eliminate child labour. So that no child is left behind.
We are targeting governments and policy makers to make sure that they will develop national action plans as they promised in Durban. We also target the private sector to prevent and address child labour in their supply chains, including in the lower tiers, and use their influence to hold each player in the chain accountable.
